Silly letters and childish memories

what do you think about death?

That was the question the main character in the movie accuracy of death always asks the other characters in the show.

He is the shinigami, the death god.

It's not a bad show, very funny, haha, but I think it would be even funnier if I understood japanese. It's in japanese.

Anyway, I was cleaning up my so messy room when I came across my box of letters. I flipped through a few and found them quite intriguing.

There's this letter from a secondary 1 girl who wrote to me when I was in sec 2, when I was and still am her senior....

Here's what she said.... she said " You say you can be my Lao3 Da4 right? How can? Do you know what to do on your wedding night? Do you noe the process? I noe I m very dirty but I can't help it, haha, I like.... You ah, so pure... Haha " Maybe not the direct quotation but something like tat, Hmm.. Haha, damn, she's only sec 1, my junior, who is she to say this to me? Haha, and the letters were kind of silly and funny.... and of course, haha, indefinitely childish...

So indeed, I have matured, at least a bit.....

There's also another letter whereby the author wishes to remain annoymous but that was and still must be a very nice girl or should be a lady by now... Wishing her all the best in everything that she does... Because I have to rush for a soccer match now, I will just end here........

Zhaung zi

Happiness is the absence of the striving for happiness. Zhuangzi

I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man? Zhuangzi

We cling to our own point of view, as though everything depended on it. Yet our opinions have no permanence; like autumn and winter, they gradually pass away. Zhuangzi

Rewards and punishments are the lowest form of education.

Zhuang Zi

2 of the wisest people I think who ever existed on this earth, zhuang zi and lao zi..... Haha, but it's in my opinion la, there are so many wise people out there that I've never met or read, and what is wisest really? Can there really be any comparison? But I just admire these 2 guys and their philosphies and beliefs.....

There's this chinese show, Yu Dan... she talks real good, about these chinese philosophies... can be found on youtube too... you might want to take a look....

And I think kong zi, confuscious, may not be the wisest in the sense that maybe it is too idealistic? Who am I to say that... but his most famous statement i guess is that human nature is good, it's the environment or upbringing that might lead us astray..... This is really debatable and I don't think a true answer can ever be found.... all depends on our beliefs and faith...

And in the Yu DAn talk, she talks about Jin Yong... and the martial arts world.. whereby invincibility is when you have no strokes..... She says, if you have a martial arts manual, regardless how formidable it is, there will still be a counter stroke..... therefore, if you have no strokes.... then there will not be any counter stroke ... and thus you are invincible.. and i think this was mentioned in Xiao Ao jiang hu as well....... and it's translated to laughing in the wind in crunchy roll and veoh tv... Haha, how did they come up with this name? laughing in the wind? but if you ask me, i seriously have no better suggestions....

Therefore, in soccer, haha, if you have no strokes, no tactics, then you will be invicible.. and I guess that's what Fergies is trying to do, letting his attackers free roam..... this can also be apply to one on one situations..... and there's this super soccer comic that every soccer lover must read, fantastica...... shao4 nian2 zu2 qiu2 meng4

Soccer.....

"I think it's my best team of all time." This was what Fergie said after this morning's champion league win over Chelsea.

How can that be?!

It was disappointing, truth be told. In the first half, after we scored the goal, it was excellent. There was one superb moment where Rooney came way back to defend, won the ball and sent a beautiful long diagonal ball out wide to Ronaldo... Ronaldo then send the ball back across goal which was met by Tevez but miraculously saved by Czech and then onrushing Carrick shot such a tame shot which was again fisted away by Czech.... Come on! Had it been Scholes, it would have blasted through the net... Had it been Ballack, he would have blasted it high above to row Z! But yea, what carrick is lacking is big match temperament... What Carrick is lacking is confidence.. That was a shot that carried no conviction of its own... It's just shooting for the sake of shooting... Look at Ballack, at least every shot of his carry such power.... He oozes confidence.. even in the worst of circumstances....

It was disappointing, the 2nd half was totally dominated by Chelsea... Where was the midfield? Hagreaves should have been playing in the mc position.. Why was he placed on the wide right? It's true he can cross and run, but he is really a natural mc.... the ball winner is the most important position in soccer.... he prevents goals and starts goals.... It's like the rebounder in basketball..... HE is the one that actually makes the team tick.. Without the ball, without a ball winner... regardless how many superstars you have in your team, you can't win.. look at real madrid when they lost Makelele....

And ronaldo is once again disappointing... true there are flashes of brillance....... but his dribbling success rate is very much lower than messi.. or kaka..... they are much safer ball carriers .... I say we really could sell ronaldo since madrid is really willing to pay such a high price..

And i wouldn't mind Berbatov coming though he lacks a bit of steel and grit... but we have plenty of that in Man U...... We do need a sort of target man for it isn't easy playing with fast moving forwards all the time.. the balls would have to be very precise and the midfielders would have to read their runs very well... Man U needs a Messi or a Kaka.. or the teamwork that we had in 1999... that was a truly excellent team.. the passing was unbelievable.. Van de saar sometimes lack a bit of confidence...... the centre backs are good enough... at right back... we need to find a better person perhaps in the form of the brazillian Alves, I've heard a lot about him, but never really seen him play...

Left back Evra is too defensively weak..... but I can't think of any good left backs either....

At centre mid we need someone of stronger character than carrick... maybe a Xavi or a Deco or a Gerrard....

Right wing we could retain Ronaldo's services....

Oooops.. there is no one on the left wing... we need to find a left winger.... A robinho would be fun.... or a Quaresma... though that would add a lot of individual flair to the team which could be hard to accomodate.... striker of course would be rooney and berbatov. haha...... and we could have the super sub of tevez...

and we could alternate too....... not playing one wing... wif rooney playing behind berbatov and tevez.....

It's really amazing, the quantum world.... the wave particle duality..... that is, an object or rather, light or electrons can behave both as a wave and/or a particle....

Without the presence of an observer, the object behaves as a wave do.....

In the act of observation, it takes on the behavior of a particle....

The waves can be seen as probability function whereby the particle will appear in that particular space.....

Amazing....

Bohr said the act of measuring the levels of quantum energy gave rise to the discrete levels of quantum energy....

If you do not measure... then the discrete levels do not appear......

much like what the philosopher said in the previous post, that one only exists when one is observed or seen...

when one is not being seen.... we only exists as a wave of probability till the act of observation is being done...

haha, confusing? that's the quantum world for you....

I think we should try to practise what Lao Tze said.... Hmm.. I can't really remember what he said... but is something along this line.... to learn, you have to unlearn... sometimes too much knowledge clogged our minds.... for a keen mind is always an open mind..... What is really true ? What is the real reality? who is to know.... we once thought the earth was flat.... We once thought that gravity was all there is, but there came electromagnetic waves and fields.... We once thought light was just a wave... or particle.... or can only be a particle or a wave...... We once thought time was constant....and still think time is.... I think we have to understand, to know, to believe that we will never understand, we will never know anything, and that nothing for sure is certain... and that there are indeed higher dimensions that we can never fathom of and understand with our limited senses and experience.....

“To be is to be perceived (Esse est percipi).” Or, “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” – Bishop George Berkeley (1685 – 1753)

Einstein

Quotes frm the great man himself

"If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts." --Albert Einstein

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." --A. Einstein

"What really interests me is whether God had any choice in the creation of the world." --Albert Einstein

????

Why is it that only light can be seen?
Why is that out of all the whole electromagnetic spectrun, only light is visible?
I think the problem lies not with our eyes,
but our brain.
I think the eyes see,
but the brain filters.
The eyes see,
but the brain recognizes not.
Perhaps the rest of the electromagnetic waves don't belong to the 3rd dimension or are the building blocks of our 3d work, the fabric of our world.....

So many questions,
So little answers,
What a mystery,
And the more you know,
the more you know you don't know

They say if you think you understand quantum physics,
then you really don't understand quantum physics.....

Forces

Question: Why is it that for every force exerted, there will be an equal opposing reaction force?

Similarly, in the world of electromagnetism, of charges, Len's law state that for a changing magnetic field, there will be an opposing induced current created to oppose this incoming changing magnetic field.

Why is this so?

Is the answer a very simple one, cos I have to admit I'm a real idiot sometimes....

And ya, the force that star wars keeps talking about, "may the force be with you etc etc... " i believe is the electromagnetic waves....

And every thought carries a frequency.... so when a massive group of people get together and think the same thought, somehow the signal gets strong enough to really induce the occurence of the event.....

There's this theory, that we are all connected, that we are all one whole thing, one whole particle....

that's why jesus said in the bible love thy neighbour as thyself and not just love thy neighbour alone....

and i totally agree... that we are all connected... we are all connected by the forces of gravity... mass attracts mass.....

we are all connected by the attraction or repulsion of charges..... regardless whether it is attraction or repulsion, the charges are acting in relation to one another and thus connected then.... connected by the electric field lines....

Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction
ice Is also great
And would suffice.

Robert Frost

This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper.

The 10 dimensions

http://revver.com/video/99898/imagining-the-tenth-dimension/

0th Dimension: A DOT! Infinitely SMALL!
1st Dimension: A line, could be viewed as joining 2 dots...... Thus giving only length!!!
2th Dimension: A branch from the line in the 1st dimension, thus adding width!!!
3rd Dimension: Another branch from the line and width, the thickness... could be viewed as a 3d model.... x, y and z axis perpendicular to one another.....

So to summarise, 1st dimension joins only the dots in a straight line in the direction of length, say x....

2nd dimension adds width, that is adding the y axis so we now have a 2d area to work with, we could connect the points through length or width, just anyway on the 2d area....

3rd dimension adds thickness, adds the z axis.... so now we could connect the dots or points that are in the 3d area... whereas previously we could only connect the points lying on the same plane area in a 2d world....

the 4th dimension would be treating the whole space, the whole 3d as a dot.....
4th dimension could be called as duration, or time..... if we view a particular time as a point, whereby this moment in time is simply the whole space at that particular moment in time..... then from we were baby to we were old.. from age 1 to age 100, say we take each age as 1 time point, 1 dot, and we connect all these points together only in a straight line of the length, the x axis... that is we can only connect the time points that lie on the x axises or are parralel to the x axises..... that would be the 4 dimension...

let me say again, 4th dimension... we treat each moment in time as one dot, one point.... and the 4th dimension is like the 1st dimension.... we can only add these dots in one straight line.. in a length... we can only add the dots that lie together on a straight line.....

5th dimension.... is like the2nd dimension.. now we add width... so we could now connect the time points that are lying on the same planar area......

6th dimension.. is like the 3rd dimension... now we add thickness.... so now we could connect the time points or moments that are in space.....

ok, so in the 4th dimension, it is one possibility of a life we are living now..... say from start to end, there are only these 2 points, point 1 is birth, point 2 is death... these 2 points lie on the same line....

ok, now 5th dimension.... we could start from the same point 1.... but now, cos we are in the 5 th dimension, we do not need to walk in a straight line, we could connect to other points that lie on the same area in the 5th dimension.... and that would mean a change in decision.... another possibility of life.... for instance, if you choose to go for abortion, that would be another possibility of how your end will turn out to be... so you start from the same point 1.... but your ending point would be different because of that turning point... (literally)

ok, now the 6th dimension.... we would now have more options... more decisions because now we have the added thickness as well....

Now the 7th dimension is simply treating the whole 6th dimension as a dot! like how the 4th dimension treats the 3rd dimension as a dot! Like how the 1th dimension treats the 0th dimension like a dot!

the whole 6th dimension is the summation of all the possibilities of the end of this world... starting from the same start point, the big bang!

in the 7th dimension, we have all these points.... but with a different start point.... EG.... one point is when gravity is 1N, the other point is when gravity is 1000N,that is different initial conditions of the big bang, different start points....

so again, the 7th dimension can only join the points that lie on the same line.....

the 8th would allow points to be joint that are lying are the same planar area...

the 9th would allow points to be joint that are lying int space......

and lastly the 10th dimension... which is just one dot..... and this dot consists of everthing we have talked about.....

Quantum Entanglement

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja0UUKbVlhA&feature=related

So cool! HAHA, Quantum entanglement! IT's saying that one particle... can be in many different spaces or spots or places at the same time.

According to the idiotic ignorant DR ME, from our perspective, we are always viewing it in the 3rd dimension.. where everything travels slower than the speed of light... space is the 3rd dimension.... and this particle, possibly exist in the 4th dimension or higher order dimensions, and therefore, if we see it in the 4th dimension, it will exist in one whole piece, but when viewed in the 3rd dimension, you will see it in different spaces (3rd dimension spots) when it's actually one complete whole in the 4th dimension. The only thing is, we can never get to the 4th dimension unless we travel faster than the speed of light... That's what i think..

Ghosts and time

Oh ya, the ghosts travel using the quantum leap theory too....so they travel faster than the speed of light, which is the speed of time and thus we are unable to trace their movements.

And actually, time is definitely relative, and so said Einstein as well. For what is time but a relative thing defined by us humans. And because we define and see time according to our very own perspective, and our perspective comes from light... eyes... light..... and thus... the speed of light is of course an absolute thing.... and time relative...

Amazing Quantum!

The metals that were mined for the planet's war machines carried electrons that could leap instantly from one adjacent atom to another, never appearing in the space in between. But in other substances those leaps did not always so easily take place.

Amazing stuff isn't it?!!!! Haha, yes, I'm quite ignorant, I think this is kinda a basic knowledge that we should have already learnt when we learnt about schwingner... forgot how to spell his name and the symbol that very much looks like the weapon of the king of the mer-people. Yes, I haven't really given much thought to it, just like I haven't really been studying in the past.. Hmm... which I kinda regretted sad to say....

Anyway.... I think... (Disclaimer: I'm totally ignorant in the field of quantum physics)... then.. that the electrons simply must have travelled faster than time, or the speed of time so much so that we couldn't actually see the electrons moving through space simply because it isn't moving through space, which we call the 3rd dimension. Because it is moving faster than time, it could be moving in the same dimension as time, the 4th dimension. I am aware that we call time the 4th dimension, but perhaps, the 4th dimension might not be time, might be XXX, so that whatever that travels faster than time would both be travelling in the 4th dimension.

Or perhaps the electron is moving in the 5th or higher order dimensions and the 4th dimension really is time...

But ya, anyway, because the electron is faster than time, that's why we couldn't see it moving in space, and that explains the quantum leap.

Hmm.... But the thing is, why would this electrons move? What force causes or gives rise to this quantum leap?

And i was also wondering if it's possible to have such enormous potential difference such that the current, the electrons would move faster than the speed of light which should be equal to the speed of time. And i guess it kinda makes sense that the speed of light= the speed of time, for it is through light that we see, when the light reaches our eyes and thus that is how we define time as well.. eh.. I know it's kinda abstract so it's really ok if you give up reading alll these quantum shit. Haha...

And thus i think, the proportion of speed of the electron in relation to the speed of light for all speed of electron larger than the speed of light, would tell us how much is the quantum leap.. it's simply a law of proportion of the speed then....

Hmm.. but back to the question on why would electrons move in the first place? From what I know, electrons orbit around the nucleus much like the planets around the sun simply because of the charge attraction and mass attraction (for the planets) which was set about due to the big bang which was the starter of all forces. And from then on, everything was moving simply to maintain the law of stability or equilibrium.

So voltage or potential difference is the force that triggers the electrons to move... and this potential difference simply boils down to charge attraction.... positive to negative and vice versa...

Hmm... when an electron osicillates (accelerating), it would produce a changing electric field. And this changing electric field would give rise to a changing magnetic field and a changing magnetic field would thus induce a changing electric field and vice versa, it goes on and on.... And the electric field is simply the force of the charge attraction and so the so called radiation from those war machines might have been the culprits responsible for the quantum leaping electrons....

But why would the war machines radiate? radiation if i'm not wrong, is simply caused by the oscillation of an electron and the original force must have all been started when the war machine was triggered....

Now I know where the story jumper got their idea from...

XIAO AO JIANG HU

Hmm... I suppose that's why I like the Jin yong's Xiao AO JIANG Hu so much, I dunno how u translate it in english. But the hero, Ling hu chong doens't hanker after power, fame nor wealth. It seems like only he really knows the true way of life but has to meet with everyone's disapproval because the rest are all blinded in the pursuit of power. HAHA, of cos, like everyone else, I often imagine I'm the hero and I am the only enlightened one! what can i do? I'm programmed to be this egoistic... hhaa, but at the very least, I'm honest enough to admit it... which at least makes me better than the hypocrites! haha....

MOney

Been to popular, the bkshop a few days back, and it's really amazing!!!!! There are so many self help books, especially on those how to become a millionare.. how to invest in stocks.... etc etc etc ! It's like, the number one goal of all people now is to make lots and lots of money! And that these people are cashing in on selling the idea to get rich! IT's ridiculous man! No wonder Michelle Branch and SImple Plan sang of this world being "Crazy and mixed up", no wonder the teenagers can never get a hang of this world, because the adults are all warped up, corrupted....

It seems as if everyone has equated money=happiness.... or.... you can do without happiness... but you sure can't do without money..... Amazing!

FATE

Been teaching my student about Romeo and Juliet... And I googled the net and realised that some critics have been saying stuff that fate is the theme of Romeo and Juliet. Fate and Destiny. That everything is fated, everything is destined, there is no running away, sort of like the death in final destination. That it was fated Romeo got the wrong message and thus drank the potion of love and death. "A pair of star-crossed lovers.... etc etc..."

That to me, once again, makes NO SENSE!

Once again, I've to admit I'm ignorant and narrow-minded, and I haven't read the full text before, but ya, it really doesn't make any sense to me. If the critics got the idea that fate was one of the main theme from the ending of Romeo and Juliet where both died a tragic death, then I've to really disagree with them.

It's not as if Shakespeare had a choice. You see, I believe he wanted to write about the nonsensical hatred between people, between the Capulets and the Montangues, and there was all this talk about the names stuff.... Recall the balcony scene, "What's in a name, for if a rose is not called a rose would smell as sweet etc... Please google it, I can't remember and am too lazy to search for it. But ya, I believe Shakespeare wanted to remind us that sometimes our grudges and hatred for others make no sense, racism etc.... the stereotypical prejudices of people... After all , we're all people...... What's the difference man? Recall Shylock in the Merchant of Venince... "Hath a Jew not eyes, nor nose, nor ears etc etc..... " Just because you're born of a different colour, you're inferior to me? Just because you're of a different caste because of your birth you're less worthy than me? It doesn't make any sense, all these prejudices but they do exist! Sexists..... People of differing religions, races, classes....... It seems our mind are just corrupted with these prejudices...

Oh ya, anyway, my point is, therefore, Shakespeare simply was left with no choice but to kill off Romeo and Juliet. To make the ending as tragic as tragic can be so people can remember that the reason, the source for this tragedy is the ridiculous unfounded prejudices we hold of people who are different from us.

Therefore, he didn't choose this ending becasue he wanted to write about fate.... Sometimes, i feel people just read too too much into things... but who am i to say anything? I'm just as ignorant if not more ignorant than anyone else

我不配

Been watching the MTV 我不配 which translates to I'm not worthy by Jay Chou. The song is superb I think, but I think the MTV is ridiculous. Haha, well, the female lead is ridiculously pretty. I'm ridiculously envious. My friend told me it's to depict the real story between Jay and some newscaster which was his ex-girlfriend in the past. They couldn't get together because of the media, scandals, rumours etc etc... Hmm... Well.... It all doesn't make sense to me, I mean why must you hide from the public that the both of you are dating? Because it would make you less popular? Then so be it, you already have enough money to last you a lifetime, what more do you want? Pressure from the record companies, the managers? Then so be it, what's more important man, your love or your career?

I must say I'm a very ignorant person, perhaps there are other factors that I didn't look into but to this very ignorant narrow minded me, it just doesn't make sense.... NO SENSE!
